With the start of the school year, we want to provide you with 36 ready-made lessons to support the teaching of STEM subjects at the lower secondary level. The lessons are open-access and have been developed as part of the We Teach DATA project. The lessons aim to improve students’ key competencies for understanding and working with data and enhance their digital skills, information and media literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, problem-solving.
Lessons are divided into four thematic areas – Living Organisms, Atom to Space, Substances and Chemical Reactions, Environmental Protection – and include a variety of tasks, presentations, videos and interactive activities. They are written in accessible language and allow imagination and freedom in working with data such as searching, collecting and analysing information.
There are 12 lessons available for each class – 3 from each thematic area, available in four language versions – Bulgarian, English, Greek and Slovak.
Partners in the We Teach DATA project are organisations from Slovakia, Portugal and Greece. On the Bulgarian side, the partner and active participant in the development of the lessons is St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, Sofia. The project is a participant and active partner of the project.
