At the end of 2024, the “We Teach DATA” master class was successfully finalised and tested by more than 20 teachers from Bulgaria, Greece and Slovakia in STEM subjects in the lower secondary stage. The main goal of the We Teach DATA master class is to provide teachers with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to effectively teach data science in schools, providing a meaningful and enriching experience for students.
The basic theory of data science, the different stages of data processing (from data collection and cleaning to analysis and visualization), the integration of data science concepts into the current curriculum and teaching of STEM subjects, videos and presentations on the latest trends in the world of data, as well as detailed methodological materials and guidelines for teaching the 36 lesson “School Box” package for lower secondary students were among the many types of information that teachers from Bulgaria, Slovakia and They successfully went through the 13 modules of the master class dedicated to different topics in the field of data science.
